1. educational capital - parental attitudes to school, qualifications, types of professions you know
2. cultural capital - if you do cultural things in your free time you will do better, e.g museums
3. economic - if parents can afford the right materials for education. Do you have the money to succeed

A

rules of the space - a culture or worldview that is associated with a social class or social group
often upper class have access and learn these from an early age.
most teachers are middle class so have a middle class habitus and can relate to middle class students more

1. hierarchy - teachers + pupils Vs workers + hierarchy
2. uniforms - like wok dress code
3. timetables - timetables subjects Vs workers shifts and breaks
4. alienation - students alienated from learning Vs workers from their products
5. rewards - students get grades/merits Vs promotions
6. punishments - detentions Vs fired
argue that school prepares pupils for life in the capitalist system and prevents rebellion or revolution.

A

Unconscious learning that happens in the education system that normalises class/gender/ethnicity differences.
A02 - everyones invited - list of schools that have had cases of sexual assault and nothings been done. This reinforces the patriarchy and teachers women that nothing will be done, like in society
