Q

What is the teacher scholar leadership model?

A
  • Leadership skills must be built from the ground up analogous to a house.
  • The base/foundation are ethics: how we stand on issues, how we make decisions, and how we approach those issues are individuals.
  • Our actions are a manifestation of our ethics /values
  • The next base layer is ethos: understanding the Corps culture
  • The pillars decision making: the three pillars are communication, understanding, and decision,
  • The roof is leadership: you are then charged with a duty to lead and develop your Marines into not only competent and skillful Marines, but also contributing members of society once they leave the Corps.
