Maneuvers Flashcards
Rolling TO
- Stabilator 0° TED + transition symbology
- Adequate runway
- Simulated TQ 10° +/- 3 below IGE HVR TQ
- HDG +/- 5°
- 90 KT attitude
VMC takeoff
We have adequate power
Watch my TQ, 10% above hover power
Before takeoff
Clearance
VMC Level acceleration takeoff
It is the preferred takeoff to stay out of the avoid region
Monitor TQ (10%above hover) and VSSE
Before takeoff
Clearance
Limited power takeoff
We only have IGE power and our surface does not allow us to do a rolling
Monitor TQ and when through ETL
ETL point
Abort point (3 rotor discs from barrier)
Rolling landing
Announce Roll On
Land at or above ETL
Method of braking (25% TQ)
When to abort a slope
upslope landing gear begins to slide,
aircraft brakes do not hold,
a physical cyclic stop is encountered,
crewmember’s comfort margin is exceeded
Aerodynamic Braking
DE - 25% TQ minimum
SE - 50% TQ minimum
Rolling landing Speed DE
At or above ETL
Single-Engine Landing speed
Above VSSE until 30 feet above TD
Steady state autorotation Factors

Airspeed
TQ
Trim
Position to land
Slope
Before LDG Check
TW lock
Suitable landing area
Set Parking Brake prior to LDG
Do not exceed slope limits (5° asymmetrical)
20% TQ – center cyclic before further reduction Collective full down
OGE SE Failure
Fly away plan
Immediate reduction in torque
10-15% nose low
POWER
SE Landing
- Maintain airspeed at or above VSSE until 30 feet above landing
- Maintain ground track alignment with the landing direction
- Maintain a constant approach angle to the first 1/3 of lane
- Maintain runway alignment ±5 degrees.
Hover Standards
Maintain heading ±10 degrees.
Maintain altitude ±2 feet IGE or ±10 feet OGE
Do not allow drift to exceed 3 feet IGE or 12 feet OGE
Fly away plan
Flight Standards
Maintain heading ±10 degrees.
Maintain ground track alignment with minimum drift.
Maintain altitude ±100 feet.
Maintain airspeed ±10 knots.
Maintain rate of climb or descent ±200 feet per minute (FPM).
Maintain trim ±ball width.
Acknowledge the low altitude warning audio.
