Can you name any
of the parts of the
male reproductive
system?
Penis, Scrotum, Epididymis, Sperm Duct, Prostate Gland, Seminal Vesicle, Testis, Urethra and the Foreskin.
What do the testes do?
-produce millions of male sex cells called Sperm.
-make male sex hormones called Testosterone.
What is the scrotum?
The bag of skin the two testes are contained in and are at a lower temperature.
What is the epididymis?
A muscular coiled tube where sperm are stored.
What is the sperm duct?
Transports the sperm to the penis.
What do the prostate gland and the seminal vesicle do?
They add fluid to the sperm.
What is the fluid and the sperm together called?
Semen.
What passes through the urethra?
Urine and Semen.
What are the two functions of a penis?
-to pass urine out of a man’s body
-to pass semen into the vagina of a woman.
Can you name any

Eggs, Ovary, Fallopian Tubes, Uterus, Cervix, Vagina, Vulva and the Endometrium.
What is the vulva?
the outermost part of the female reproductive system where the urethra is found.
What is the vagina?
a muscular tube that leads from the cervix to outside of the woman’s body.
What is the cervix?
A ring of muscle at the lower end of the uterus. It keeps the baby in place while the woman is pregnant.
What is the uterus?
It is where the fertilised zygote will develop.
What is the oviduct?
A tube through which an ovum or egg passes from an ovary.
