Anti-Nuclear Antibody (ANA), Anti-Double-stranded DNA (Anti-dsDNA), Anti-Smith Antibody (Anti-SM), Antiphospholipid antibody
What pharmacologic treatments are there for Lupus?
Hydroxychloroquine, NSAIDs, Glucocorticoids, Immunosuppressants, biologics
What is the G6PD deficiency?
x-linked that causes RBCs to prematurely breakdown
What is the max dose of naproxen?
1250 mg
What is the max dose of ibuprofen?
3200 mg
What are the topical glucocorticoids?
Low potency: fluocinolone valerate & hydrocortisone
Mid potency: triamcinolone acetonide & betamethasone valerate
High potency: Clobetasol
When are immunosuppressants indicated & what are they?
more severe disease
- methotrexate, azathiopurine, cyclophosphamide, mycophenolate
-monitor for TPMT deficiency
What biologics are indicated for lupus?
Belimumab, Rituximab, Anifrolumab
What medication is indicated for lupus nephritis?
Mycophenolic acid
