Lung microanatomy Flashcards
What is another name for secondary bronchi and where do they go?

Where are mesothelial cells located?
both sides of the pleural cavity (visceral and parietal)
What are the layers from most superficial to deep in the airways?
Epithelial cell/goblet cell, basal cells, basal lamina, lamina propria, smooth muscles (bronchiole), submucosa, hyaline cartilage (trachea), adventitia
When do club cells appear and what is their function?
They appear as you get closer to the terminal bronchioles
Produce mucous
