When taking a history - if a patient complains of vision loss. What types/aspects of their vision loss must you ask about?
Unilateral/bilateral
Onset - Sudden/gradual & over what period of time
Type of vision loss - blurred/distorted/black?
Associated symptoms - redness, pain etc

Tell me about Amsler chart testing
Patient looks at dot in centre of grid (shown below) with one eye
If see wavy/distorted lines - indicates problem with central visual field

What is Fluorescein angiography?
Fluorescent dye is injected into the bloodstream. The dye highlights the blood vessels in the back of the eye so they can be photographed
