Inhibit the Na/K/2Cl co transporter in the thick ascending loop of henle

NaCl, Potassium, Calcium and Water

2 very important notes to consider about the effectiveness of loop diuretics working regardless of the state of the patient?
A
- They work regardless of the patient having concentrated or diluted urine to begin with
- They work with low RBF and GFR.

What are the two main therapeutic uses for Loop Diuretics?
A
- Acute pulmonary edema
2. Acute/chronic peripheral edema due to heart failure or kidney failure.
