The olympic village is now one of the ‘most sustainable villages in the world.’ How is this possible?

A
  • Village built on a slight slope, Rainwater drains from roofs and pavements into waterways, water then drains into ponds and is filtered by natural reeds, clean water is pumped back up hill for toilets and irrigating trees.
  • The village contains 10 hectars of parkland
  • Amazing cyclepaths and walkways have been made
  • They charge extra for parking
  • They all have GREENROOFS which reduce flooding, enchorage more wildlife and slow down the rate in which water drains
