Q

ordinal

A

The results are points from a scale and relate to each other so they could be put into order. The value of points increases along the scale but the gap between the points does not have to be equal. Data can be ordered in some way.

Q

central tendency

A

Nominal is category data - we can only ever see which is the most common therefore mode is used.
Ordinal is ranked data - there is no equal measure between each score, so not appropriate to use the mean, but could find the middle average so median is used.
Interval data has the most precise measurement and therefore the sensitive nature of the mean is a good measure.
