Lesson 8 Flashcards
What are IV called?
Factors
What are levels?
How many possible outcomes there are for each IV (factor).
What is the difference between a main effect and interaction hypothesis?
Main Effect- a consistent difference between a factor from the others.
Interaction - difference of one factor depends on another factor.
If the lines on a graph are parallel - what does this mean?
There is a main effect
What is the difference between a repeated measures test and a mixed test?
RM - 3+ groups are measured multiple times and you look at trends and the variation between groups.
Mixed- You are measuring multiple times but you have clear intervention and control groups.
Describe what 7x 2x 3 means?
There are 3 factors.
The first factor have 7 possible levels/ outcomes
The second factor has 2 possible levels
The third factor has 3 possible levels.
What helps you determine if a test is a one-way ANOVA?
I IV is measuring 1 DV but the DV can have different groups.
