immovable or barely movable, found in skull. Teeth are fibrous joints.

Joints made of cartilage. Little to no movement.

A
Freest moving joints.
1. Bones articulate within a synovial capsule.
2. Synovial membrane provides synovial fluid to cool and cushion joint.
3. Joint is reinforced by ligaments.
4. Allows great movement in directions determined by shape of bones.
