- How can you get to the by-pass damper control screen?
Click the Bypass Damper symbol on the Baghouse DCS
- How do you close the by-pass dampers?
Click the Bypass Damper symbol on the Baghouse DCS and call the Bypass Dampers closed using the green arrow.
- What do the numbers below the bypass damper control area on the East or West B/H screen represent?

- How do you start the ash system and run the cleaning mode?
Pre-Start checks on Vacuum Pump

- By clicking on any compartment in the East or West B/H screens what can you check or do?
Run a single cleaning cycle
Put the compartment in maintenance
Run a compartment in Manual

- How do you access the deflation fan controls?
Click the Deflation Fan symbol on the DCS
- How do you start the VFD?
Put the VFD in Manual
Bring the “WC down to 0
Rack the Deflation Fan breaker in
Bring the “WC back up to setpoint
Run VFD in Auto
- What would you suspect if while looking at the East or West bag house screens, any damper did not make up a red or green indication light?
A damper has:
Lost Power
Is not hitting the Limit switch
Is in Travel
- What does the red “JOG” button on the ash system screen do?
It selects the next available hopper and starts to pull from it.
- What does the green “OVER RIDE” button on the ash system screen do?
It allows you to manually pull hoppers.
- What does the red “DUMP TER” button on the ash system screen do?
It manually dumps the Tertiary Section of the silo.
- What should be done after acknowledging a tertiary dump failure alarm?
Attempt to manually dump using the “DUMP TER” button. If problem persists then go up on the silo and inspect the equipment.
- How do you bypass a hopper(s) or branch gate (entire row)?
Put hands on the hoppers or the leg by clicking the valves on the DCS.
