Was subject to being deported back to Jordan due to his illegal asylum claim + incitement to violent jihad
Human Rights Act didn’t allow this as it said citizens + non citizens have the right to not be tortured or treated ill
As the UK courts couldn’t prove this wouldn’t happen in Jordan, he stayed in the UK
2013 - The UK and Jordan signed a treaty to guarentee that he wouldn’t be tortured or treated ill there, which finally led to his deportation
