What did the priest and Levite do?
The priest who was going on the side of the road saw the wounded man but passed by on the other side. likewise the Levite did the same.
What did the Samaritan do?
The Samaritan was moved with pity. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, having poured oil and wine on them. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper and said “Take care of him and when I come back I will repay you whatever more you spend.”
Why did Jesus tell the story of a Good Samaritan?
A lawyer who was trying to justify himself and at the same time trying to question Jesus’s teachings wanted to clarify his doubt about who is his real neighbor.
