In a dream God ask Solomon that he would Grant him a wish. Solomon said that God was faithful to his father David because he walked before you and faithfulness and righteousness and an uprightness of heart towards you. Therefore Solomon wish to have wisdom to rule his kingdom rightfully; he wanted to understand how to govern his people and know between right and wrong.
Why was God so pleased with Solomon’s wish?
God was pleased because he asked for wisdom to be a good ruler to discern what is right from wrong. He did not wish for long life or witches or for the life of his enemies.
What was God’s granted wish for Solomon?
- God gave him a wise and discerning mind as no one was like that before or no one would be like that after.
- God also granted him with riches and honor all his life as no comparison with any other king even though he did not ask for it.
- God also promised him long life if he walked in His ways and keeping the statutes and commandments given by God.

He came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. He offered burnt offerings and offerings of well-being, and provided a feast for all his servants.
