How did the Magi predict that they’re the king of the Jews was born?
They saw his star rising in the sky.
When King Herod knew about the Magi who were looking for Jesus, how did he respond?
King Herod was afraid that he would lose his throne to the king of Jews and therefore wanted to kill him. He called the chief priests and asked them to find out about jesus’s birth. Because he wanted to secretly get the news and whereabouts from the Magi he told him to come back and report to him about the baby on their way back.
What did the Magi do after seeing the baby?
They left to go back to their country via a different route as God had shown them.
Who showed the way for the Magi during their travels from the East to Bethlehem?
A star rose and was going ahead of them showing the way until it stopped over the place where the child was born.
What did the Magi do when they saw the baby?
The bowed down and worshiped him first and they opened their treasures and presented gold, myrrh, and frankincense.

What was the prediction about the place Bethlehem in the Old testament?
It was written “But you Bethlehem, in the land of Judah are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.”
When Herod found out that the Magi tricked him, what did he do?
Herod ordered to kill all the innocent babies born in Bethlehem at that time.
What is the meaning of Messiah?
The promised savior mentioned in the Old Testament.
What is the difference between the motivations of the Magi and the King?
Magi wanted to worship the true king and King Herod wanted to remain as king at all costs even by killing innocent babies.
Why did Herod act the way he did?
Hayward believed that the baby would become the king and take his throne instead of his own heirs and he was a king who would protect his throne by killing anyone who is a threat to his throne. He did not understand the true meaning of jesus’s birth and therefore acted the way he did.
