Qualitative researchers

Aim to prevent the INTRINSIC BIAS that comes from the single method
Triangulation
A time to meet and confer with PEERS to objectively review and explore
Peer debriefing and member checks
Involves SEARCH for data that could challenge emerging concept or descriptive theory
Search for Discomfirming evidence
This involves field notes with rich descriptions
Comprehensive and vivid recording of information
Concerned with the stability of qualitative data for a long period of time
Dependability
Refers to objectivity and neutrality of data to show congruence
Confirmability
Refers to research findings which can be transferred or applied to other settings
Transferability
A rich, thorough, and vivid description of the research context
Thick description
Another criteria to establish trustworthiness
Authenticity
