To weaken or cause to collapse by removing underlying support as digging away/ eroding foundation.
ex. The teenager undermined her parents authority by coming home later than she was supposed to.
unremitting(adj).
Never slackening, persistent.
Ex. The assiduos young student put an unremitting amount of effort into her studies.
asperity(n).
harshness/sharpness in tone or manner
syn: acrimonious
Ex. Her voice was full of asperity as she spoke to her ex boyfriend.
