What are the two divisions for lymphatic drainage? Where does each drain to?

A
  1. The right side of the head, neck, thorax and right arm
  2. The rest of the body
  3. This drains to the right lymphatic duct then the right subclavian vein
  4. The rest of the body drains to the thoracic duct then to the left subclavian vein

24L/day filtered out

  1. 4L/day reabsorbed
  2. 6 L unaccounted for. This is found in peripheral tissues and collected by the lymph vessels and returned to the blood.
