Q

what caused the radio act of 1927?

A

radio stations were fighting over frequencies, caused chaos over the air. after the war, the government made some regulations to stop the chaos. this meant making a monopoly formed by four companies: marconi radio company, general electric, at&t, and rca. after a while this stopped working bc there were ppl making their own broadcasts, so the government said that the airwaves belonged to the public, and u could get licenses to use the frequencies but not own them.
