how is exercise psychology defined?
“Exercise psychology is primarily concerned with the application of psychology to increase exercise participation and motivational levels in the general public”.

what is on the mental health continua?

how does exercise link to cognition?
Aerobic exercise is better than anaerobic when focussing on cognition - metabolic, anabolic process- building organs and tissue - aerobic exercise is associated with improving parts of the brain
exercise and cognition in children:
Children have a higher brain plasticity - more change can happen in children’s brains than adults - larger scope to experience cog changes in children - executive functioning - closely related to motivated beh - executive functioning improved when exercised - dm aspect of the brain improved due to exercise
