Lecture 22 Flashcards
Path of radial artery in hand?
Superficial: through Thenar –> contributes to arch (under aponeurosis, ontop of flex tendons)- supplying digits, just like nerve supply
Deep branch:(radial artery) Behind thumb –> between 2x head of dorsal interossei and b/w 2x heads of adductor pollicis
Path of ulnar artery in hand?
Superficial: anastomoses with Radial arety
Deep: Hypothenar muscle mass –> ontop of MC, deep to flexor tendons
What forms the Superficial Palmar arteries?
Radial and Ulna nerve anastomosing
What branches off the superficial palmar arteries?
CPDA
Common palmar digital arteries
run between MC and approach creases
–> then Proper palmar digital arteries, supplying 1/2 finger each
What branches off the deep palmar arteries?
PMCA
Palmar Metacarpal Arteries
anastomose with Common palmar digital arteries (CPDA)
