Sensitive period
A window of time during which exposure to a specific type of environment stimulation is needed for normal development of a specific ability.
Motor skills
Ability to move our bodies ad manipulate objects (occurs in an orderly sequence).
Fine motor skills
Focus on the muscles in our fingers, toes, and eyes.
Gross motor skills
Focus on large muscle groups that control arms and legs and involve larger movements.

Mental models of how the world works.

Fit new info into existing schema.
Accommodation
Creative process where you modify schema based on experience.
