Lecture 14 Flashcards

1
Q

How does the activation of T cells by DCs occur?

A

1.Signal (TCR activation) and signal 2 (costimulation) induce IL-2 production
2. IL-2 acts on T cells to support T cells expansion in both autocrine (mostly) and paracrine manners

Q

What kind of affinity do activated T cells have to IL-2 receptor

A

High affinity
-Activated T cells have IL-2receptor alpha chain which gives high affinity to IL-2 receptor
