7 considerations for Message design and delivery
audience segmentation - strategies may differ
message design - motives attention, and after the fact communication, designed to maximize retention, aware of biases
message style - specific to segment, real-world examples
message content - succinct and meaningful
pretesting - improve before broad dissemination
message channels - different media
evaluation - every component: cost effective? message received and retained? acted upon?
Challenges with Risk Communication
diverse audiences, fewer intermediaries, information is very complex, everyday stuff doesnt attract attention,
