What is Broca’s area and where is it located?
Speech production. Frontal lobe/
What is Wernicke’s area and where is it located?
Language comprehension. Temporal lobe.

Wilhelm Wundt. Germany. 19th Century.
What was Wundt’s structuralism? (19th century)
Structuralism - analysis of the basic elements that constitute the mind
What was Tichener’s Gestalt psychology? (19th century)
Reaction to Structuralism - the whole is different to the sum of the parts
What was James’s Functionalism? (19th century)
Reaction to Structuralism - emphasis on the purpose of conscious activity. Thinking is a means to behaviour - not an end in itself
What are Marr’s three levels of analysis?
Computational (what is the problem), Algorithmic (how can it be solved), and Implementation (how are the rules physically implemented?)
