Self Concept
Who you think you are; the relatively stable set of perceptions, including, physical, emotional, talents, likes/dislikes, and values.
Self-esteem
how you evaluate the concepts that make up your self-concept. Simply your self worth. the value you place on certain qualities you have.

biology accounts for some personality traits like extroversion or shyness.

we develop a self-concept that reflects the way we believe others see us.

evaluating or comparing ourselves in terms of how others see us. judgement on onesleve.

Self-concept is subjective; our own personal view of ourselves. therefore it can be distorted. self-concept resists change. we tend to cling to an existing self-concept.
