Learning Flashcards
Learning
when an individual makes meaning from their experience which resuts to long lasting changes to their behaviour, skills and knowledge
Behavior
the response of a person to an internal or external generated stimuli
Classical conditioning
learning process where a person associates a neutral stimulus such as an object or sound with a naturally occuring rewarding or threatening event (uncondition stimulus) such as fear of a predator which results to a automatic condtioned response
Neutral stimulus
a stimulus that produces no naturally occuring response
Unconditioned stiumulus
a stimulu that produces a natrually occuring response (uncoditioned response)
Unconditioned response
a naturally occuring response that occurs by the affect of unconditioned stimulus
Conditioned stimulus
(originaly the neutral stimuus) a stimulus or trigger that when repeatedly paried with an unconditioned stimulus, it produces a conditioned response
Conditioned response
a learned response that occurs by effect of conditioned stimulus
Operant Learning
a learning process whre the likihood of a behvaiour being repeated is determined by the consequences of that behaviour
Antecedent
initiates or triggers the behaviour
Behaviour
voluntaey action or response to the antecedent
Consenquences
determines the outcome of future behaviours or the likihood of it occuring again
Reiforcement
the consequnece that increases likehood of behvaiour re-occuring
Punishment
the consequence that decreases likehod of behaviour reoccuring
Positive reinforcement
addition of a desirable outcome
