An innate and adaptive response that sees an organism physiologically respond to a physical or psychological stressor that increases an organism’s chances of survival by preparing it to react quickly an either confront or flee from the stressor.

What is the key difference between meditation and relaxation?

A

Meditation is where a person focuses on one stimulus and actively alters their state of consciousness. Whereas, relaxation is the releasing of one’s muscles and thoughts, where it is not necessarily an active process.
