What is environmental noise?
Physical or Sociological condition that interferes with the message
What is sociological noise?
Prejudice or bias, often against the sender
Why is Communication cycle feedback important?
The sender should never assume that information has been successfully transferred unless some confirmation is provided that the message was received and understood
When using a radio, how far should mic be held from mouth?

What must be done if using a repeater system for radios?
Allow for a time delay after keying microphone
What should initial on-scene/situation report include?
Who’s arriving
Brief description of incident situation (size up, occupancy, etc)
