I is a supeirior delegating work, power or authroty to a subordinate. The subordinate also then become accounatble for the task. It is generall assigned by a manager to a subordinate

time managament- can prioritise importannt tasks. It allows management to plan strategically. It improves work life balance for management
Employee motivation- is higher as they feel valuied and trusted. It also challnegs employees leading to job enrichment as they can reach their potetnial

what is an autocratic leadership style
it is where the leader makes all the decisions they do not seek employee judgment or trust them. Therre is an element of fear used a sa motivator. It may be suitable for a bsiness in cristis eg tight deadline.

Authority- autocratic leaderds have complete power and control. They do not delegate
Descion making- they do not share decion making. This can be useful when quick decsions need to be made
Motivation- they use fear as a motivator. There is a culture that makes reluctance to mistakes.

Trust- they have no teust in their employees as they believe they are their for the wrong reasons and are lazy so requir complete supervisoon

It is a style which places a lot of trust and subordinates they are trusted to decide the best ways to achieve goals. The manager act as a facilitator and takes a hand off approach. It is suitable for very skilled workers.

Authority – manager set targets for their subordinates and allow them to put a plan in place to achieve those goals. Overall responsibility still rests with the manager.
Decision making – employees are empowered to make decisions management only becomes involved when they’re very important decisions to be made
Trust – there is a high level of trust and employees feel valued as they get to work independently
Motivation – they are highly motivated and our empowered to work on behalf of the business to reach their goals and their own potential. It helps to meet the self actualisation needs.

In a democratic leadership decision-making process only allows employees to be included in the decision-making process but in the lazy fair employees are empowered to make decisions on their own on behalf of the business and management only intervenes if there is very important decisions to be made
