Who are the town marshals?
They were the marshals deputies, they keep the law in order in the town especially in mining and cow towns there job mostly involvedde leaking with local violence
Who were the sheriffs?
They were responsible for law and order in the counties. There job was elected for two years by the local people their job involved running the county jail and selling property for people who didn’t pay taxes
Who were judges?
They hear and pass on cases however they had to travel a lot and people had to wait a long time for a trail
Who were vigilantes?
People who took the law and order into their own hands they often deal with real crimes however they didn’t give people a fair trial and often the wrong person would be hung
Who was wild bill hockok?
He was a famous scout and gunman and fighter he was supposed to have killed hundred men but only 7 to be known of he was a marshal and was sacked for killing one of his deputies
Who was wyatt Earp?
He became a lawman he was sacked form the job because of fighting he moved to Dodge City where he acted as a deputy Marshall he was famous for a shoot out
Who were the U.S. Marshals?
They were appointed by the president and the most important lawmen tent were responsible for the whole territory
