Q

Describe the negative environmental impacts of Sunbury’s land use change.

A

Rural blight is occurring within Sunbury as landowners neglect their properties whilst waiting for land prices to increase, in order to sell.

The increasing population is exacerbating the amount of litter, which is blown on/into waterways, and various landscapes. This affects the wildlife, and water purity.

The increasing amounts of impermeable surfaces, e.g roads, has led to increasing amounts of run off into Jacksons and Emu Creek, affecting water purity and wildlife.
