Appropriate where employees have the necessary skills and knowledge and are self directed
disadvantages of the Laissez-Faire management style
Loss of control by management meaning resources, time and money may be misused or used ineffectively
May lead to creative differences and thus internal conflicts
Focus on organisational objectives easily eroded
