What are the 3 considerations for a structure of a perfume?
- Perfumery accord
- Relation between top, middle and base notes
- Balance between simplicity and complexity
How to blend perfumery accords?
- Blend 2 materials in various ratios (to obtain mixture with a unique character, distinct from that of component parts)
- Then make accords between 3 - 4 materials or materials of different volatility (to get a balanced odour intensity, such that no one ingredient stands out)
What are the characteristics of the top, middle and base notes respectively?
Top: Citrusy
Middle: Floral
Base: Woody
