L15 Flashcards
1
Q
The longer the radius of a swing/ angular change
A
The longer the arc length will be
2
Q
Linear/ tangential velocity
A
Vt= wr
-w needs to be in rad/s
-radius needs to be in meters
3
Q
Tangential Acceleration
A
At= delta a x radius
-measured in m/s squared
-delta a needs to be in rad/s squared
4
Q
Centripetal acceleration
A
If you have angular velocity: Ac= w squared x radius
If you have tangential velocity: Ac= Vt squared/ radius
-can also add these 2 to find resultant acceleration using : a= square root at squared + ac squared
