Provide examples of long bones.
- femur, tibia, phalanx
What does inversion and inversion of the foot look like?

Provide examples of short bones.
- carpals, tarsals
What are other words for superior and inferior? Anterior and posterior?
- Cranial = superior - Caudal = inferior - Ventral = anterior - Dorsal = posterior
In anatomy, what is the arm and what is the forearm? What is the leg and what is the thigh?
- Arm refers to the region between the shoulder and the elbow. Forearm refers to the region between the elbow and wrist. - Leg refers to the region between the knee and ankle. Thigh/femoral region refers to the region between the hip and knee.
What does opposition and reposition of the digits look like?

- sutural/Wormian bones

What are the two major divisions of the skeleton?
- Axial skeleton: includes skull, hyoid bone, vertebrae, ribs and sternum - Appendicular skeleton: limb bones with appendages, pectoral girdle (scapula/clavicle) and pelvic girdle/hip bone
What are the planes of the body?
- Sagittal plane includes midsagittal/median plane and parasagittal plane (think Mohawk) - Coronal/frontal plane (think crown) - Horizontal/transverse plane
