How does δίδωμι (stem: δο-) go through changes in the present principle part?
1) Stem vowel lengthened to ω
2) present system δι-reduplication is prefixed
3) The -μι is the normal ending for these verbs
Two important points about the present system reduplication
1) will follow basic rules of the perfect but with an iota
2) will appear on all forms based on this principle part

4 clues for identifying the form of δίδωμι
1) If it has the prefix δι-, it must be present or imperfect.
2) If it has the prefix δε-, it must be perfect or pluperfect.
3) If it has neither, it must be aorist or future.
4) If it has neither and is not indicative, it is almost certainly aorist
