Q

What are “Lesions of Endodontic Origin? (LEO)”

A

increased width of the apical periodontal ligament space
changes in the trabecular bone pattern around the root apex
root resorption

Q

What is the hydrodynamic theory of dentin sensitivity based on?

A

Movement of the dentinal tubule fluid surrounding the odontoblastic process that activates pulpal nerve endings resulting in sensitivity or discomfort. If tubules are exposed, small variation in Temp, dehydration, hypertonic solutions and pressure can cause sensivity.
