Why were the Cherokee going to the supreme court?
Georgia ignored that it was Cherokee land and legal treaties planned to take the land
What was the supreme courts decision in Worcester v. Georgia?
Supreme court ruled that Georgia coud not interfere w/ Cherokee land = Cherokee could keep their land (protected by constitution)

American soldiers rounded up Cherokee from different states - were unprepared
Why was T.O.T so horrible?
Cherokee suffered from hunger and exposure to weather and illnesses + one quarter of cherokee population died
