A customs union between a German coalition - Austria were not included. Made in 1833
How did Zollverein not necessarily contribute to German Unification?
States used the revenue from it to assert their independence.
Who was seen as the common enemy to both unifications?
The Habsburgs and Austria
What was the result of the movements in 1848?
Italy’s movement completely failed and in Germany a democratically elected assembly was formed.
What did the 1852 London Protocol guarantee?
Land and territorial integrity to Denmark, sparking conflict between them and Prussia.
Why did France help in the unification of Italy?
They wanted to further their and Napoleon’s own goals. They wanted Nice and Savoy.
