Inverses of Trigonometric Functions Flashcards
1
Q
What is the Inverse of a Function?
A
The inverse of the statements of a function. The result will not always be a function.
2
Q
What is the Inverse of a Trigonometric Function?
A
The inverse of the statements of a trigonometric function. If it results in a function, than you will be able to solve for different angles and lengths.
3
Q
How do you find a value theta between 0 and x?
A
You find an appropriate angle and calculate it based on its type (cosine, sine, tangent, etc…).
4
Q
What is All Students Take Calculus?
A
A term for remembering that the cosine function is positive in the first and fourth quadrants, and that all functions are positive in the first quadrant.
