What is the difference between sterile and non sterile sites and name some examples for both?
A
Non sterile sites usually have contact with the outside world and have a constant flora on them.
Skin, nasopharynx, urethra and gut.
Sterile sites have no flora so it is easier to diagnose an infection in them.
CSF, blood, lungs and bladder.
