Why do you want to study medicine for yourself?
I think it is funny that in a career so focused on being selfless and helping others, there is an element of selfishness. Boy this I mean how one drives for the rewarding nature of the job which is helping people. I am aware of the reality which is medicine is arguably one of the most high paced and stressful careers out there however I feel I am suited to an environment of high stress.
What attributes do you have that would make you a good doctor?
Communication
Listening
Compassion paired with empathy
Why do you want to help people in medicine rather than another career?
I think the answer to this question lies in the other aspects of medicine. I enjoy the idea of caring for people at their most vulnerable and would like to be able top ease and reduce anxiety. I think this links into working ink a team as I would also like to care for people as a team.
Which quality do you think is the most important in a doctor?
Think the ability to work as a team is the most important aspect of being a doctor considering things often are done much more efficiently when people work together. I also think the ability to problem solve is the most important attribute as no patient is likely to be the same as the last and you must find intrinsic links between information given to you.
What qualities do you have that would make you a good doctor?
I think that I maintain a positive attitude towards all aspects of life whether they are challenging. I feel this is important as in medicine people are often vulnerable and being able to ease peoples worries and nerves would be th most important thing.
What are the good things about being a doctor?
Good level of roles in place allows doctors to progress up ranks of hierarchy.
Training is outstanding and you are prepared to face the battles medicine.
One of the best pension schemes would allow doctors to work k knowing they are supported beyond life as a practicing doctor
What are the bad things about being a doctor?
Long and unpredictable hours
On call might mean waking up in the night which could increase risk of dementia later in life.
How would you balance your outside world with medicine?
I thin k sport would be my main outlet allowing me to build upon the skills needed in medicine.
How do you cope with stress?
separate things that are stressing you into what is controllable and what is not. As hard as it is deal with the controllable and forget what is uncontrollable.

What are some of your negatives?
I sometimes find it hard to start tasks when I have lots of ideas for how I need to conduct the task. I have combatted this by writing the ideas down and evaluating them for feasibility.
