Interstitial Vascular disease Flashcards
acute tubular necrosis
oliguria, casts, ischemia/toxins damage epithelia. muddy brown casts in lumen.
most common cause of AKI
acute tubular necrosis
allergic interstitial nephritis
AKI, fever, rash. UA: abc with eosinophils. Usually drug hypersensitivity. biopsy: spaces, inflammation cells, eosinophils
pyelonephritis
acute: ascending infection, positive culture, normal renal function
severe distortion, scarring, microabcesses
analgesic nephropathy
chronic tubulointersitial infalmantion, massive analgesic intake. Distortion, necrosis, white fibrotic areas. risk for urothelial carcinoma
myeloma kidney
monoclonal protein plug leads to obstruction . biopsy: tubules with cracked casts, normal glomer.
granuloma
caveating: TB, non caveating: sarcoidosis
most common kidney stone
calcium oxalate
which interstitial lead to AKI
stones, ATN, AIN
which interstitial lead to CKD
analgesic (also risk cancer) and pylonepjhritis
