Why does the Church promote interfaith dialogue?

A

•Pope Francis says “we cannot truly call on God if we refuse to treat in a brotherly way any man, created as he is in the image of God”» all people are called to serve inspired by the commandment to “love thy neighbour” this call is extended to people in every walk of life regardless of their faith standpoint
•every person has the sancity of life and must be treated with respect
•promotes love and harmony between all religions and belief systems

What are some possible challenges of living in a multi faith society?

A

•minority religions or ethnicities can experience racism and discrimination
•fear of religious groups based on misunderstanding can lead to violence and terrorism
•religious or ethnic groups might be blamed for problems in society
