Seborrheic Dermatitis
Risks: Infancy, disorders of central nervous system(Parkinson’s Disease), oily skin/hair
Causes: Idiopathic, emotional stress and hereditary may be precipitating factor, may be intensified by yeast like organism
Contact Dermatitis
Risks: Family history
Causes: Substances such as plants, dyes, detergents, drugs, preservatives, cleaning compounds
Prevention: Identifying the cause, and staying away from the cause
Atopic Dermatitis(Eczema)
Risks: Milk, Orange Juice, Family History
Causes: Idiopathic, stress, anxiety, conflict, extreme temperatures
Prevention: None, attempt to prevent secondary viral and bacterial infections
Urticaria
Causes: Allergic reactions to food, insects, drugs
Psoriasis
Risks: Between 10-30 years of age, being of white skin colour
Causes: Autoimmune, hormonal changes(pregnancy, emotional stress), certain drugs(lithium, beta blockers, NSAIDs)
Rosacea
Risks: Possible correlation between the blushing and flushing of the individual, lighter skin, middle aged, family history
Acne Vulgaris
Risks: Hereditary tendencies, precipitating factors(food allergies, endocrine disorders, psychological factors, fatigue, use of steroid drug)
Causes: Hormonal changes during adolescence, oil overproduction
