Sound waves cause eardrums to what?
A
They cause ear drums to vibrate.

What does the vibrating eardrums make what do?
A
Vibrating eardrums make the hammer, anvil, stirrup move like levers. This movement is transferred to liquid which moves hairs in the cochlea. Then the auditory nerve sends an electrical wave to the brain which helps us hear sound.

When noise gets quiet what happens to the eardrum?
A
Vibrates less (slower) and with a smaller amplitude.

When noise gets louder what happens to the eardrum?
A
Vibrates more (faster) with a larger amplitude.
