Patient has the right to reduce the information or opt for minimal information and entrust their care to you. In these cases, we must note that any failure to inform the patient of their diagnosis and treatment information breaches the informed consent process. Therefore, it would be wise to require the patient to put into writing, their ‘refusal to be informed’, in a waiver or another document. We also have the option to refuse treatment.
